Bass
and SLABS!
The Previous Year's Catch of Bass at The Same
Lake!

Friday, March 3, 2000, Derrell Reid and I caught one of the finest
stringer of Bass and White Perch that I have ever seen. We fished in a
land locked lake off the Mississippi River and found them spawning in 1-2
ft of water. We were actually bass fishing, but these big slabs were hitting
big white spinner baits as good as the bass! These white perch avergaged
2 - 3 lbs! Bass ranged from 2 to 5 lbs. We filled up the first ice chest
in a few hours, went back and got a bigger ice chest and filled it to the
top again! We stayed within the limit, they were just that big.

We lost 10-15 bass that would have gone between two and five pounds
in the stobs and logs.
Our trolling motor battery finally gave out and we called it quits.
